The Apprentice Engineer Show will bring together the finest engineering and manufacturing businesses in the country together with the engineering talent of tomorrow, who are seeking an apprentice route into an engineering career.

The event, held at the award-winning Roundhouse in Derby, one of the UK’s most prestigious exhibition spaces, builds on the great success of The Graduate Engineer Show, which, since being launched in 2013, has developed into one of the premier engineering talent events in the UK.

The Apprentice Engineer Show has caught the attention of the sector, with exhibitors including some of the UK’s most prestigious companies including Rolls-Royce, National Grid, Bentley Motors, Welsh Water, HS2, Hitachi Rail Systems, Gatwick Airport, BAE Systems, Jaguar Land Rover, JCB, 3M, SSE and many, many more.

Featuring Michelle Dewberry, winner of “The Apprentice” and Sky News presenter, the event will also offer lots of fascinating activities on the day, including simulators, competitions and a packed presentation agenda.

Held on the same day and venue as The Graduate Engineer Show, the event is the ideal opportunity for engineering employers to tap into the engineering talent pool whether they are looking to hire apprentices, graduates or a mixture of both.

If the last few years are a guide, around 1500 young engineers are expected to attend, from across the country, making the event the one of the primary sources of emerging engineering talent in the country.

Ken Davies, Managing Director of GSE Media Ltd commented:

“The engineering sector is continuing to see strong growth and this is expected to continue as the demand for new talent in this area continues to out-strip supply.

Broadening the graduate event to encompass apprentice engineering recruitment was a natural development as businesses seek to offer a variety of routes to an engineering career.

We have been thrilled by the interest we have received so far from both engineering companies, student and schools and it promises to be a very busy and exciting day”

The event is being organised by GSE Media Ltd, the Derby based innovative events business, and is being staged on Wednesday 25th October.
